About

Tatiana Mazzocca Nutritionist

The Nutritionist

My name is Tatiana, a Certified Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) situated in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. After carefully evaluating my patient's state of health, I develop a meal plan and a personalised approach, to achieve a healthy weight quickly and lastingly.

My training path started after I moved from a small village outside Venice, Italy; with a Honours degree in Nutrition, achieved at the Queen Margaret University of Edinburgh.

MY EXPERIENCE

I currently work as a freelance Nutritionist online, and face2face at Achilles Hells Sports Injury & Physiotherapy clinic in Glasgow West End. I also work as a Nutritionist and Heath Coach on the OVIVA Diabetes remission program in collaboration with NHS England.

WHY A NUTRITIONIST?

A Registered Nutritionist is a licensed professional with British Association for Nutrition (AfN), who knows the metabolic processes, and is able to recognise the effects of an excess or deficiency malnutrition.

This means that I had to undergo rigorous training and demonstrate fitness to practice to remain on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN), a register of competent, qualified nutrition professionals who meet their rigorously applied standards for scientifically sound evidence-based nutrition and its use in practice.  The UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists is the only register of qualified nutritionists recognised by Public Health England and the NHS.

In drawing up the food plans, I take into account the physiological and pathological conditions, the age range and health status, among other factors.

With the help of a nutritionist, you can start a process of improving psychophysical well-being, which starts with a healthy and proper diet.

  • Eating is one of the vital daily activities that must be experienced as a pleasure. Adopting crash diets is bad for your health and cause short-lasting results. The best way to achieve physical well-being is a diet adapted to the patient's health conditions and lifestyle.

Learning to independently distinguish how to create a Balanced meal in every situation is part of a proper nutritional knowledge.

The dietary approach I adopt ensures the patient's dietary re-education is aimed at maintaining a healthy weight and overall health. The mission of a nutritionist is to change nutritional habits starting from a healthy, balanced and personalised diet.
